The Family that PLAYS together, STAYS together!

Hello family.....let me play it out for you....

here's my report from last week. I exercised once and memorized all my scriptures. However, I sucked it up with drinking water, eating ONE treat, and exercising the other two days.

I can see how weak I am so I am going to retry again this week and revamp a few goals. Here they are:
1-drink 4 glasses of water a day (I'll get to 6 later)
2-exercise 3 times a week, cardio for at least 30 mins.
3-one treat a day
4-one fruit and veggie a day too.
5-keep memorizing the scriptures. I slacked Mon and Tues so I am going to pick up off where I left off and start with 8 tomorrow.

I hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you all soon. Jump on board.....whoa whoa!!!

OK! - Sign me up. I need time to finalize my goals but I will start by getting back on my healthy eating diet that I quit doing after hernia surgery and the minor surgery on the back of my neck.
I will start by review of my diet books and follow them religiously.

I will exercise daily for at least 3o minutes to begin with 5 days a week.

Elaine and I will start with Dave Ramsey's CD's each monday night.

I imagine that this will get more refined during the week as I have more time to prepare and discuss with Elaine our approach. Will record starting weight and measurements but likely not share them at this time with others. Also have a before picture that looks pretty disgusting and definitely will not be sharing that at this time.

Mike's Plan for the Week

I am reporting my first goals for the week:
Exercise:
1 session of weights doing biceps and Chest with 20-30 minutes. of Cardio
1 Session of weights doing Triceps and Back with 20-30 minutes. of Cardio
1 Session of weights doing Legs with 20-30 minutes. of Cardio
2, 40 min. Cardio Workouts
Since the Doctor said no running on my Pump Bump feet I will most likely will do Bike and Elliptical.

Diet:
I am going back on weight watchers so here is my plan
24 daily target points with 35 week points
5 fruit/vegetables and 8 cups of water 2 dairy servings and 2 oil servings per day
I have my worksheet that I did up for myself to measure my success, I promise I will be honest.

Spiritual:
I also intend to memorize 7 scriptures by this time next week.

Well here it goes I hope for the best and I look forward to each of your posts on what you plan to do and how it goes. I doubt I will stick strictly to my plan but I hope for the best.

Mike

Let's DO THIS!!!....Nov. 9th

Well I think this will be very inspiring and motivating if everyone participates. We all need each other to help us push for change. I know it will help keep me accountable to the goals I am striving for. Plus, it will be great to see us all grow healthier and become closer to our Savior, which in turn will make us HAPPY!

I really need to get running, eating better, and drinking MORE water, not so much Coke Zero. So, here are my goals for this week:
1. Run 3 times this week for at least 2 miles.
2. Drink 6 glasses of water everyday (I'll get to 8 later).
3. 1 treat a day.
4. Memorize a scripture a day.

Good Luck!

Starting the Blog

I hope that everyone is able to use this blog, we will all have the ability to get on and post about our weeks performance in how we have lived the last week. So what is the game? Everyone needs to get on and set some simple goals for the week. For example I could post on the title the following:

Mike's Goals for Nov. 1st
Then the following in the post:
3 days of lifting mixed with cardio2 days of running at 3miles eachI need to stay under 26 weight watcher points or intake of 1500 Calories per day...What ever you feel.

The other part to this is what Jen and I spoke about, if she or I haven't told you we are thinking about doing scripture memorization where we will memorize a new scripture everyday and then repeat it for 30 days. Once you have done one for 30 days then it falls off and you start a new one. So after the first 30 days you should continue to have 30 scriptures you are working on at a time. This should help us in two ways, one spiritualy and two increase memory. After all many have said that if you memorize a scripture a day for two years you will train yourself to have a photographic memory. I guess we will see if we are faithfull to the plan??? If not we haven't lost inything in the long run.So we should report on how we did on things like scripture memorization or what ever you feel like.

If we want we can lock it so that the world can't view our successes, or failiers.I hope we all use this and that it works well. P.S. don't make fun of me for any gramatical errors because I most likly will do my posts quickly, I won't you.

Happy bloggingMike
